Assodimi-Assonolo is the only association in Italy that focuses on professional hire-rental of capital goods. Its main objective is to promote the hire-rental culture and help companies enter this world in an organized manner in compliance with current regulations.
The association provides tools, services and projects supporting professional operations in the hire-rental world.
Members, distributors, hire-rental firms, service companies and producers are assisted by the secretariat and a technical committee of experts with the aim of achieving the common goal of improving the entire sector.
Assodimi was founded by a group of companies in 1992 following up the intuition of Franco De Michelis, who was its Director for more than 20 years. Thanks to the collaboration with DLR - Fédération Nationale des Distributeurs, Loueurs et Réparateurs de Matériels de Bâtiment, de Travaux publics et de Manutention (the French hire-rental association), Franco De Michelis introduced the concepts of professional rental into Italy by drafting a standard contract for the sector, creating the Assonolo group and the first hire-rental training courses.
Attendance at sector trade fairs, the annual congress and collaboration with associations and official entities have turned Assodimi into the most important networking reality in the world of distribution and hire-rental of machinery and capital goods for the building and construction world and related sectors.
In 2013, Marco Prosperi became the new Director and, in collaboration with the Steering Committee, has moved the Association towards Assodimi 2.0, characterized by continuous updating as the outcome of constant comparisons with members through regular meetings all over Italy.
The new Assodimi/Assonolo seeks to be a strong representative group for the sector providing support for everyone providing services and projects in these fields.
Conferences, meetings and partnerships have helped the association become an important landmark: implementing an increasingly modern vision, further innovations were introduced in 2020 within a 4.0 context, with the aim of promoting collaboration and comparison between members even further.
