On 18-19 February 2018, Veronafiere will be back to Cairo with Marmomac SaMoTer Egypt - Forum for the Construction Industry, event dedicated to natural stone and construction machinery sectors.
The initiative’s formula consists of an intense day of technical seminars alternating with networking occasions (18 February) followed by a full day of field visits (19 February).
Marmomac SaMoTer Egypt is based on the experience of Veronafiere’s most famous brands in the construction sector – Marmomac and SaMoTer – and wants to present itself as exclusive business platform for Italian and Egyptian operators and professionals.

Why attend?
In Egypt, which is the 4th marble producer in the world, there are about 500 active quarries with a production capacity of 5 million tons of marble and granite (exported for 63% in blocks); the development potential is highly interesting: cutting-edge technologies are needed to strengthen the Egyptian extraction and processing industry, making it safer, more efficient in terms of energy and water use, competitive and capable of industrializing a production that must found in its quality increase the key to excel on the domestic and international market. Italy, with its own technologies and know-how of innovation and design, is the ideal partner for this renewal process.
In the country there are also significant opportunities for companies in the construction field, as the building sector is continuously growing: several mega projects are planned between now and 2020, such as the construction of over one million housing units, new hotels and resorts in Cairo, on the Red Sea and on the north coast, the construction, along the Suez Canal, of an imposing logistics/industrial hub.
